heh same guy here, i just made huge chunk of TNT underground in the mapeditor (never really thought about using an editor for TNT), and it crashed my game.

I'm using NBTedit. I just added a light spray of tnt pixels onto every second layer all the way to ground level. Apparently lava can detonate tnt even underground, so I didn't survive the blast. The crater was pretty magnificent, I wish I could have seen it form live. Shit was still extremely cash though.

well you probably put actual work into yours.. I just used the original textures but turned it black/white and played with the levels.

Odd thing when rendering is when I zoom further away, I get that result. If I zoom in too close I lose the edges. Might be because of a light bevel, not sure.

Also a little bit more playing around.

Open this in photoshop add some adjustment layers and magic-wand the sky out to add a layer underneath. Nothing to it

back-from-the-dead-bump.

Been messing around with it in my spare time, I think it needs a tree nao.

Sidenote:
I threw in a mr sun just to make lighting it a bit quicker, though I then found that I couldn't make a self-illuminating texture.. I opened a new file and tried it with out the mr sun and it worked. So I'm guessing I didn't have it on bright enough, or those type of texture just don't function properly with the sun setting. unno.

I'll go back and tweak my textures. They're all from the same source, but the grass came out ridiculously more saturated than the grass/soil blocks. As for the sand I think it's just catching all the light from the angle, I'll see what happens if I bring the camera up a bit.

That and the bump map is almost nonexistent on the soil, again I think because of the lighting..

op here. Hmm. A blocky terrain making tutorial (for Blender) wouldn't be too hard to do...
Actually I just made the terrain out of cube-shaped particles, it's not converted from minecraft. There's the "grid"-option which arranges the particles evenly along the emitter object's surface/volume/whatever.
