We haven't all agreed on a place to go if 4chan dies in years. Obviously it would be impossible to do now because of the size of the userbase, but I hate the idea of being scattered across all sorts of imageboards like that.

Imageboards have become a core part of the internet by now. There would be chaos at first but after some time people would settle for an alternative and there would be rivalries and shit but it would eventually calm down with one board becoming the "successor".

And naturally it would have a shitton of people claiming to be "oldfags" from the legendary 4chan but they'd really be the faggots who found this place a week before it closed.
