Got bit by a Samoyed, though I blame it's owners for tying it to a tree.

My favorites are the 'junkyard dogs' Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers, German Shepherds and Pit Bulls. I've owned all but the latter since I was an infant and they've all been great dogs. Used to ride the Rottie like a horse when I was younger.

My favorite, so far as looks go, goes to the Aussies though. I had one and she was the smartest dog I've ever owned. When she wanted to play fetch, she'd bring you the ball. Ignore it and she'd put it in your lap. Ignore that and she'd toss it at you until you gave in. She also loved to play Hide and Seek.

i was considering a samoyed but i decided against because the con list was bigger than the pro, even though they are so beautiful.
Samoyeds are supposed to be extremely friendly so i think you came across an odd case unfortunately.
I decided to get an aussie shepherd because i want to get into frisbee sports, agility, obedience and possibly flyball. plus i want a partner to go hiking and go to the beach with plus even biking.
My parents own a border collie and he is extremely smart and a PITA lol.
I just think aussies are so gorgeous. I love merle coats, and the blue eyes are a plus.

Nah, I brush him for about 30 minutes every day while I watch the news before bed. You only need to brush OES for about an hour a week.

I had him sheered in the summer because he was getting really hot, constantly panting and wanting to sleep on the stone floor of my house's extension. They're used to being sheered in the summer at the same time as the sheep they heard, I believe.

Being a norwegian I'll have to go with norwegian elkhounds too! Allthough I prefer the black ones!
Not as loud and bulky as the grey ones, and they are also a bit more rare.

I don't think I could pick a single breed that I find the most beautiful, but border collies and related breeds are quite pretty, IMO.

To be honest though, the most beautiful dogs that I've seen have been mutts.

it's just a shame great danes can be so unhealthy. a family i used to know had to put theirs down after only 3 years, he had really bad heart problems. it was very sad since he was such a smart and sweet dog.

I prefer the natural look as well. The males look good with cropped ears, but I prefer hanging ears on a female. For some reason it seems more ladylike.

You guys should also look into the Belgian Malinois. Think GSD though slightly smaller, more agile, and with a shorter coat.

They are amazing dogs - and yes very sweet animals. After meeting a few I knew they were perfect for me. They CAN be found in rescue too (breed specific rescue). So if you prefer to adopt, you can go that route. In that pic the little one is from a breeder, the big one is adopted.

i don’t think he is quite that big. he gets a ton amount of exorcize though, so he's very lean. He probably weighs in around 165 -170. I know they can get get much bigger though.

yea my guy has some what long legs, but he has a really long body, its almost a little disproportionate. He's not so tall on all fours, but when he stands up on his hinds he gets pretty tall. Its safe to say this guy is gonna top out at 80 lbs by 2 years.
