What's the line between loli and not-loli? I'd say 14 and above is not, but up to 13 could be. Lolita herself is 12 when Humbert meets her, and later writes that girls stop being nyphets at around 14. (If you're wondering who Humbert is, this next part will shock you.) Of course, a lolita complex has nothing to do with a young age in particular. The lolita complex is about finding a relationship with somebody the same age as the last time he had the feelings. (Humbert has his first sexual experience and love with a girl of 14, who then dies of typhus.)
At 14, somebody understands what sex really is. They may not be or feel mature enough for it yet, but they understand it. At 14, one is biologicaly an adult. So, thoughts?
I want to go to an anime convention dressed up in cosplay but I've never done it before and I've only seen a few animes to give me inspiration. I want to dress as Haruko from Fooly Cooly but I don't like her whole outfit. The costume I'm thinking of is a red dress but I always see people wearing a white long sleeved shirt under it in their cosplay pics. I'd rather not wear that, so I was wondering if it's ok to modify the costumes a little bit. Sorry for the long message, like I said, I haven't dressed up in cosplay before and don't know if you strictly have to follow the costumes or if there is room for creativity.
Hay guys. I'm currently in Tokyo. In a Manga/Net cafe, because the stupid JR girl booked me on the wrong train and I got here too late to check into my hotel. This is simultaneously awesome and gay... but at least it's better than being on the street.
At least tomorrow I can check in, and then head to Roppongi to go chick hunting...
This Manboo place is pretty cool though. 6 hours stay for 10 bux, and I've got my own little office with a PC, a PS2, and the world's most comfortable chair. Seriously, I want to buy this chair, it's badass. Softer than a mattress, and reclines almost flat.
I bought a shitload of stuff in Akiba the other day, pics will come tomorrow (hopefully) when I can use my own PC. I'm pissed as fuck, though... I lost the Kaiji ashtray I bought, good thing it was only 7 bucks and I can get another at Animate pretty easily. Bunch of doujins, too, including the best Fate/Stay doujin I've ever encountered. Saber, lowleg panties with super-short maid dress, awesome art, great sex scene flow. I can't wait to scan it.
So high schools and even colleges/universities have anime groups, but what do you do post-graduation? Anything other than conventions? I've never seen an anime club outside of an academic institution.
Kyokai No Kanata animation is beautifully cinematic and fluid like water washing ashore on a immaculate moonlit night the story present within itself a enigmatic aurora the dialogue is well-written and the characters are neither cliche of the primary heroes/heroines: Akihito remind me of the Byronic hero, Mirari remind me of the simplicity of a naive character, Mitsuki remind me of the elegant beauty. Mmm, perhaps, I contradicted myself. Still, KyoAni did another wonderful job.
