You're right. It's like saying, "This is good, isn't it?" The information is already known to both parties, so you're kinda being rhetorical. "yo" is for information that's only known by one party. So, "Hey! This is good!" or "The train station is that way."

I had a weeb phase, then decided I didn't want to be scum and learned Japanese language and history in college. Still not amazing at it but I'm also not spewing KAWAII DESUDESUDESU KA YO NE?! haha

Go in a group/with a buddy and you will be fine. Don't let the horror stories scare you - just let them be a lesson. Yes, there are weebs present. And con funk. And creepers.

If you go with more than one person, and you are with them at all times, you should be okay. Con staff is also present if you're ever scared.

I went to my first con two years ago (lol too broke to go last year), Sakura Con. 20K people crammed into a few floors - and it went just fine!

Well I guess this is more of a weaboo story than con story but here goes...
Freshman year of highschool move to a bigger rural school, population 500, have no idea what anime is or cosplaying.
Become friends with the nerdier group and discover Bleach and become an instant fan. In said group there was a guy we'll call him A... A was the reject's reject not only because of his shitty personality, balding hair, smelled like yesterdays trash or him being overweight but the fact that he was plain creepy. Anyways being new to the school and group I was generally friendly to the guy, within 2 days he asked me out in front of our Home Ec. class, obviously I said No. Since then he went out of his way to be rude to me. Halloween roles around and our school puts on a carnival fund raiser he dresses as Ichigo and follows me around all night saying shit like Anon don't you want my body :P It got to where everyday he would try to tell me what would happen in the story line that I hadn't got to just to make me mad. But this would be the least of my worries when he started causing problems with my psycho stepmother and me. He got on Myspace at the time and sent crap like I'm slitting my wrists for you tonight he also put that he was 30 on his profile so when my mother stalked my page she now thought I was satan, and I was going to hell. Things finally boiled to a head my junior year when he was expelled for threatening to bring a bomb to school and kill everyone but that's not all when his house was searched they found a hit list with several of my friends, boyfriend, and my name on it along with several guns... To this day I still see him around town I don't know how he wasn't arrested anyways I know I suck at stories but here ya go
