>>4561369If you're using colour correcting concealer use that first. Cover that with foundation. Use regular concealer on any blemishes, and pat with powder to set it all.
You can use foundation brushes, stippling brushes, sponges or clean fingers to apply all of these. You can find plenty of tutorials on youtube to help you. I find fingers are fine though.
For colour correcting concealer, you want to apply it sparingly and gradually. ONLY apply to areas of your face that are discoloured, and stop when the colour has calmed down; it doesn't necessarily have to match your face tone, it just needs to be hidden by foundation. Use opposite colours to the discolouration (green for red skin, purple for yellow skin, salmon for undereye bags)
Foundation should be applied working from the centre of the face outwards. You can either do it by section or dot the foundation on your face. If you choose this method, be quick as foundation changes colour as it dries. Just apply a thin layer of foundation all over your face, and if necessary apply more where you have blemishes or bad skin. After that, use a concealer brush or your finger to apply concealer ONLY to your blemishes. Using a concealer brush is better, because it has more precision. Remember to choose a concealer that is sliightly darker than your foundation; darker hides, lighter reveals.
Then just use a translucent powder to set. You can either stipple it on using a powder brush or use a pad to press it in. I prefer using a brush, as it applies it much more lightly, and you only need a thin layer of powder to set. You can then apply blush to the apples of your cheeks IF it's a powder blush; if it's a cream blush, apply it before you apply foundation. Never apply wet on dry, or dry on wet.
