So apparently the Namco Tales Studio is closing. I have no idea what this will mean for Tales games and those that have not been released in the U.S. yet; but, in light of this sad news, Tales Thread?

Meh, I think it's relatively secure. The Tales franchise is a lot stronger over in Japan than it is here (probably because they promote and merchandise the fuck out of it etc. over there) but just because the studio got absorbed by Namdai doesn't mean there will never be more Tales games.

I think that depends on what they had in the works. Most studios have a bunch of projects going on at the same time in various stages so I greatly doubt they kicked up their heels and were like "Aight, 9/8/11 has come and passed, Xillia is out... now we feast and frolic until a new idea pops up!", idle hands and all that.

Ohshit, that's a gorgeous wig on that thar Flynn. A lot of people don't get the spikey-haired characters styles down right. Look at most cosplays of Flynn's secret twin, Guy Cecil. Most of those wigs are disasters. >>5187711 can't see much of the wig but it seems pretty decent as well but that's a rarity.

This guy is one of my 2 favorite Regal cosplayers, I wish there were more pics of his costume besides this pose and a group pic. The rest of the Regal cosplayers I have seen tend to be way off in terms of physique (as in severe muffintop happening) or just badly executed costumes.

Not exactly related to what pics have been posted but does anyone else find it hilarious to look at what Chinabay sellers (Chinese eBay sellers or Chinese sellers in general) create for "Tales" costumes?

Some of their interpretations are pretty amusing... like this one example of a Fon Master costume. Anyone else find funny costumes up for sale?

Any of the people posting the pics also Tales cosplayers? I decided to add a few characters to my list, having been a fan for some time.

How the fuck do you guys deal with the color schemes? They are all different depending on what source you look at. Do you go with in-game colors, original artwork, cut-scenes, fanart?

As I see it, the Tales series is first and foremost a series of games - and from that, I'll use in-game colors/art as my be-all, end-all; in-game cut scenes tend to be pretty close, though original artwork might differ a little from the in-game version and fanart can be all over the place.

Most guys probably skip Karol because he's so young looking and short. It would be a great costume for a younger brother though.
