Quick question: Does sake have to be stored cold?

It seems useful to have a bottle lying around, but I'm not sure if I have the fridge space for it.

Sake should be stored in the refrigerator, especially if it's a opened bottle.

After it's opened, it will last two days at max, something up to six months for an unopened bottle, after this, the taste will detoriate.

I think he is talking about mirin, the "culinary sake".

You can store it in a cool dry place away from light and if the weather is hot in the fridge but this might make the sugar crystallize.
