What do you think of adding milk and flour to the eggs in an omelette? I made one like that today and it came out very fluffy and puffed up. Tasted pretty good with some mushrooms and spinach. From what I understand it's sacrilege to add flour to an omelette, I thought it tasted quite well.
Anonymous
Milk is standard in a french omelette. Never heard of adding flour, seems like it'd get too cakey. What proportions did you use?
Anonymous
>>2780667 6 large eggs, uhh not sure about the amount of milk, maybe half a cup or 1/4 cup and 2 table spoons of flour.
It did get a little cakey but I liked it like that. The outside also browned up nicely like in the pic, usually with plain eggs it doesn't brown up.
Anonymous
Quoted By:
>>2780669 That's barely any flour at all in those proportions. It would explain the browning, but it wouldn't really contribute much else. If you like it, more power to you, but I prefer my eggs a pristine yellow.

Congratulations, faggot, you just went IHOP tier. IHOP adds pancake batter to their omelets, which also usually contain 5 or 6 eggs. Fucking disgusting. That's NOT an omelet. I mean, if you really like it, and you are the one eating it, well, I guess that's all that matters, but I'd never eat one made that way. IMO pig disgusting.

The Chicken Almond Ding they serve at my local restaurant is DELICIOUS. Enough flavor without dying in salt. My absolute favorite dish would just be plain ham fried rice, thoguh.

I want to make some sandwiches with Asiago cheese. Problem is, they don't seem to come pre-sliced and there are 2 kinds at my supermarket: age 5 months, and the other is aged about a year. Which would be better for said sandwiches, /ck/? Pic related; it's one of the kinds they have.

>>2780610 Fresh asiago is better for sandwiches, but can be hard to find depending where you live. I would go for the younger of the aged probably.
Anonymous
Quoted By:
>>2780610 My local grocery deli has Boar's Head brand meat and cheeses. They have a sliceable Asiago for a couple of years now. I don't find thick slices that awesome on a sandwich, as it's as strong as parmesan, and can taste overly salty. You'll be just fine grating some cheese on your sandwich. It's especially good in grilled sandwiches (warm) over cold. I'd go for whatever is less firm and milder, given the options. For pasta, get the aged version.

Or at least not bad for you? I have stopped drinking soda almost completely. I have the occasional soda or energy drink once in a while out of boredom. I get sick of water though. Is there something I can add to water that tastes good and isn't bad for me? Pic related, what I've bought a few of lately.

Its got... Well nothing in it of nutritional value but you can flavor water without making it not water and some fucked up Kool Aid.
Anonymous
Quoted By:
That's just the latest crystal light singles. OP, you know you CAN buy unsweetened kool aid mix packages (different from sugar free), and then use 50% of the packet, dilute it more. Use as little sugar as possible. They cost about 20 cents per pitcher. Also, look up aqua fresca, and try your hand at making fruity mexican drinks. Some aren't entirely sweet. My favorite is just an infused mint and chia seed. I love a cucumber water, esp with rum....well, special occasions.

Hell, you do not get to wish such a fate on anybody.>No more TSA lines I hope you're right, but we still have to be careful. What if Obama was nothing more than a figurehead to terrorist groups, and they have new leaders that we don't even know about? You think this is over? We have to be careful now. Careful that an angry group of extremists does not execute a plan to punish us for executing Bin Laden.
