Sad food thread

!!eKEqL/VOHjj No.3053153 View ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
What are the saddest foods?

Pic related. Banquet dinners....Just look at it. They tell a story; of hearbreak, loss, and just general depression. Depression to the point where you'll actually eat them.

Lost the old thread, I think it 404'd.

So /ck/. I have at my disposal the New York Times Cookbook circa 1961, The Escoffier, The Silver Spoon, and the French Laundry cookbook. I also have my family's Eastern European recipes saved on my computer. Post requests for anything you want, and you will receive a tried-and-true recipe that is sure to satisfy. I have HOURS to sit here and type up recipes, I'm not going anywhere tonight. I will bump this thread throughout the night as people get on and off /ck/.

These books include classic French and Italian recipes, pastries and desserts, game/unusual meats, and cutting-edge gourmet food, so if you ask for something, I will probably be able to find it.

The other thread was on the verge of being epic but I was only there sporadically and I lost it. : ( I'm sorry if I let anyone down. I promise I'm here for you now, baby. For good. So request away! Pic is my battlestation for the night.

/ck/, I like you. I've been here for a long time and I really love this board. So I want to give you a present.

I don't have a scanner. But I do have The French Laundry Cookbook, The Silver Spoon, The Escoffer, and the New York Times Cookbook circa 1961. Request recipes and I will type them up and post them. If you need a tried and true recipe for anything - sauces, soups, fish, chicken, roasts, whatever, these cookbooks will not fail you.

I should be doing homework but before I worked out today I tried this new diet/energy pill and it FUCKED ME UP. Seriously I can feel my heart beating almost out of my chest, I can't stop shaking, and I'm sweaty and flushed. So I want to make an epic thread for until this shit wears off.

I found a stack of cooking magazines in my dad's apartment and bookmarked all the recipes/cooking tips I wanted.

I'm scanning them now to save, so I thought I might share with you all.

Hey /ck/,

I'm looking for the name of a drink that I can't remember. It's a mint chocolate soy milkshake drink that came in a container similar to capri sun with a bendy straw you pop in it to drink.

It had a picture of a classy looking malt milk shake glass on the front. I think it's discontinued now the last time I had it was probably 10 years ago. Also I only ever had them in Maine.

I'm going to bump this thread forever in hopes that someone can give me a name or image of this drink.

It is really the best drink I have ever had in my life. No other mint chocolate drink or cold drink has ever come close to satisfying my love for that soy mint chocolate milkshake nectar of the gods.

Love,
me

My First Grade Class's Cookbook

!OMAHa/k25s No.2916094 View ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
Sup /ck/.
Back when I was in first grade, our class had to make a cookbook around Christmas time. Each of us submitted one recipe, and then received a little book containing everyone's submissions. This hilarious mess is the result. None of this has been edited in any way, everything has been typed up exactly how it is written in the book. There's a lot of these so I'll probably have to make multiple posts.

Christmas Cookies
===================
Flour
Cookie Dough
Christmas Book

Put the Cookie Dough on a cookie sheet and make shapes. Cook for 2 hours. Then eat them.

Spaghetti
===========
1 Can of tomato juice
1 thing of Hamburger
1 box of noodles

Turn the stove on and cook it. Cook it for 20 minutes and then eat it.

Spinach
===========
1 can of Spinach

Buy it at Kroger. Open the can. Put it on a plate or a bowl. You eat it cold.

Christmas Cookies
===================
Flour
Butter

First you put flour in. Then you put the butter in. Now you squish it and you have the dough. Now you put chocolate chips on it and then you put it on the oven. About 350. Bake them for about 10 minutes.

Cake
=======
2 Eggs
2 Scoops of Flour
1 Big Scoop of Dough
1 Pan

Put the dough in the pan. Add the flour and the eggs. Put it in the oven. Cook for 6-8 hours. Set the oven at 60.
