-More PC Characterization- As of now, the PC is such a blank slate that one can't put themselves into his/her shoes very well. I mean, there's such a thing as too blank of a blank slate, & as of now the PC is one.
It perhaps feels like that compared to CoC because, as of now, you have less choices/options for what you can do, thus less of a link to the character. I think that you could perhaps give a few types of personalities to the player at character-creation, & whichever personality you choose determines how you react to things.
It could affect gameplay at times, but mostly it'd just be limited to the flavor text on your reaction to the various things; enemies; terrain; food; ect. I'd be all for that.
-More Non-Hostile NPCs- I'd love to see some non-hostile characters because it would really help with investment in the setting. As much as CoC is decried as a Waifu Simulator, the characters you can talk to; build relationships with; fuck; take on as followers/allies; ect. really do help create player investment in the setting via attachment.
Previously defeated bosses; fellow mutated adventurers; weird shopkeepers; non-hostile monster races; stranger things and plot important characters would all be great for this purpose. Maybe they could randomly appear in levels & then; in levels after you've met them, have a certain chance of showing up again & advancing their story.
Maybe player personality, TFs and the number of times they've died and respawned at level one could alter your relations with them. HOLLISTIC!
Plus, I have yet to actually have sex with anything ingame, (because I'm on level one?), and the game could've used a tutorial that I didn't have to look up on the blog; so that could help smooth things out in those places.
But yeah, totally put up the new version! I'll download it, play it, and submit something on it. I've been wanting to submit things to one of these games for ages now, and this one has a lot of potential!
