>>368916>>368873I mean, if we were going for tone purity, I wouldn't get a pedal at all. I'd drop the cash for an actual reverb tank and call it a day.
I've had my eye on the one from Digitech's rather superb Hardwire line, the Supernatural Ambient Verb. But $200 is still a lot of scrilla to drop on a reverb, even if it is pretty awesome sounding. And yeah, Strymons are fantastic but once again, they better be for the price. I've also found them to not be very efficient on board space. Presets and variety of settings is great and all, but I'm a man of simplicity, and most of my pedals are set-and-forget, with no more than 4 knobs (even my old-school Deluxe Memory Man).
A cheap CE-2 clone in one of those bottom-lit housings would be bad-fucking-ass though. I think my bassist has a real CE-2, and I know I'd get to use it whenever, but I'm looking for something a bit more personalized these days. Those Boss housings are a pain in the ass once that rubber that keeps the thumbscrew in place tears and no longer does it's job.
