so /fa/, I'd really like to buy a pair of desert boots. Problem is I don't exactly know where to look. I'm 17 and pretty much just wear Vans and the like. I'd really like to start expanding my wardrobe and think my footwear selection would be a great place to start.

Hey guise, british graphic design student here.

For Sixth Form I'm going for the cockney market staller look with a suit, burberry mac and some decent charity shop brogues. But the trousers of my suit make the outfit laughable. Is there any way I can go to a tailors and ask for the trousers of my suit to be made slim-fit/skinny without ruining the suit? My budget is about £50 and the suit is worth £300. It's a rare colour and wool blend meaning buying a new pair would be pricey and difficult. There are a few small time tailors around my area, buuut I don't know what to ask for.
