I don't think I've had any particularly bad food experiences--definitely none that could top or come close to being as awful as yours--but there was one time my parents got a frozen turkey and put it in the mini freezer since the main one had no room left over. One morning, not knowing there was a turkey in the freezer and desperately needing a plug-in for my blow dryer, I unplugged the freezer...and didn't think to plug it back in again.
A week or so passed, I'm guessing, before the carcass really started to reek. When we opened up the freezer to inspect the smell, we nearly died. The smell was HORRIBLE, OMG!!! I can't begin to describe how much we all would rather have died than catch a whiff of thay putrid shit. It lingered for DAYS, too, and I had to sleep in a different room because my room was too close to the stink. Ugh...
