>>32830522Help us guys, some fags out there think they can be smarter than us.
This is the summary.
Biggish summary, please excuse any stupid errors if I made any:
This site has been around since 1994. It predates 4chan, even.
www.strange.comSeems innocent enough...
If you go to the page, you get a log in screen.
The site is not listed on Google.
Some people on the 2 threads have traced the I.P. address of the owner to someplace in Vermot, IIRC.
They also got his phone#, so they called it, and this message played:
http://vocaroo.com/i/s1v4oYwxckc4Basic site data: /content/11_g/32830522/1365199816011.png
One poster realized that he lived close, and well this happened:
"Ok so I live less than 5 minutes away, this address lead me to a mall.
After looking around not finding anything strange... I went to the security manager and showed him this tread, he like I got curious so we go digging trough the computer records, nothing paper records, nothing we even dug up old records from the 80s, still nothing.
So we call the # some girl picks up who has no idea what we're talking about, I ask her how long she's had this # for and she said around 2 years
So now we're down to our last lead the po box, it's registered to no one, but here's where thing get really strange the key has been broken inside the lock.
I'm sorry to say but this is a dead end and one hell of a mystery"
But it wasn't a dead end.
"The site is registered under Strange Ink... sounds like a company. Nothing comes up with Google though."
Some other posters found a website using the I.P. that linked to some images about a WoW guild.
This one:
http://us.battle net/wow/en/guild/feathermoon/Runic_Shadows/
This sounds stupid from here, but WoW didn't exist when this domain was created. So what does WoW have to do with it at all?
