yeah its no problem, umm medium in acrylics... its like this tub of white goop, just go to your local art store ( aboveground, loomis, deserres, or currys if your canadian) and ask for "Acrylic Medium Matte/ Glossy" . i would suggest aboveground for all of these, and if your a student at any university you can sometimes use your card for a discount.
for brushes i would suggest either fine naturals like sable for watercolour, mind you their expensive, or for acrylic a cheaper hogs hair, or bristle.
canvas... it doesnt matter its about the same price +/- $1 um, as long as its in good condition with a nice consistent layer of gesso it should work fine.
if your just starting painting landscape i suggest you go look at the world or the space your painting and really focus on areas and their depth. sometimes paintings can end up very bland in colour and look flat due to lack of attention... but this is all achieved in the process of practice. take a picture if your not sure, or google landscape or something.
one of the main things you have to keep in mind about painting is that its very easy to get discouraged when you progress through it, no matter how it looks good or bad, just finish the painting and if your tired then take a break, cuz you dont want to work without energy. also take a short moment of observence on your painting as you paint this will also let you see mistakes, and areas where it can be improved. dont try to complete a whole painting without taking a sort of break may it be 15minutes or a day, its just like proofreading an essay you need to take time away to really see the errors without your brain skipping over them.
i hope this helps... if you have any other questions just ask.
