I haven't heard anything bad about the Bushmasters, except that certain molded Orlite magazines won't work in them, and that there's a couple of Orlite mags that ONLY work in Bushmasters.
Also, if the front sight's not removable, mounting sights on the rail (uncovered by removing the handle) isn't much good, as the front sight assembly gets in the way.
It's got a bayonet lug, which means it's pre or post-ban manufacture (not built during the '94 AW ban).
Also, the problem with non-fragmenting 5.56mm seems to have been more of a problem with the 10" (cut down Colt carbine) and 14.5" (M4) barrels used during Gothic Serpent in Mogadishu; dunno if it's a "true" 16" on your rifle (as in 16" of rifled bore, not just a 14.5" with a welded-on 1.5" muzzle brake/flash hider), but if so, it's not a problem.
