now before this tread fails because of repost ect, i was thinking of making a small portable self defence weapon, and stumbled on the intrawebs on a "sangbag" (or a billy, a black jack, im not shure witch is the proper name for the particular thing im talking about) - a small leather bag packed stiff with sand, about 30 cm long, 5 cm wide and 3-4 cm thick. it seems reasonable that a weapon like that could knock out a guy without damageing him too bad, since the weight of the thing would cause great impact damage, causing the person to fall uncountious, yet the sand would absorb some impact and spread it on a larger erea, causing less bleeding and breaking of skin/bones.

how bout it? effective yet non lethal, portable and all? sounds good to me.

now. is this correct or have i been misinformed?
