Well, I'm back in the campus military history library again, this time as a volunteer. So, I'm holding a super-special one-of-a-kind encore military history Q&A session! 45 minutes only, starts... NOW!!!

Ask about military history, vehicles, weapons, you name it; just keep it before 1985 or so (old books are olllllllllllllld) and no conspiracy stuff (nothing in here about Philadelphia Experiment, UFOs, or the like).

Well, I don't have a nice, neat list handy, but this is what I can glean out of Francis A. O'Brien's "Battling for Saipan":

Japanese: 43rd Division, 47th Mixed Brigade, 55th Naval Guard Force, and 1st Yokosuka Special Naval Landing Force.

US: 2nd and 4th Marine Divisions, 27th Infantry Division (Army), plus some miscellaneous small units (smaller than battalion size) attached. It's hard to tell, there's a lot going on and the author isn't terribly clear (at least not within the space of less than 50 continuous pages).
