I'm reading the third Sea of Fertility book and this shit is getting weirder by the minute. Kiyoaki's third reincarnation is a seven year old thai princess who seems to remember both her previous lives.
So while she and Honda are chilling out, she suddenly has to go to the bathroom, and Honda realizes that she goes to the bathroom, something which gives him "a totally new emotional experience."
Then it's exclaimed, > He wished it was possible for him to hold the Princess's smooth brown thighs in his hands as she urinated.
I attend an Ivy league school and I need to declare my major this week. I can either do a double major and one minor, or one major with a double minor. I know that at least one of my majors is to be English, but Political Science and History are the other two in the equation.
What combination should I do? English-History double major/PoliSci minor? English-PoliSci major/History minor? English major/History-PoliSci double minor?
Help me remember a book /lit/ It's a children's book, well series of books, published at some point between '96 and '05 (I think), about an orphan who is adopted by his aunt and uncle, who are insane. They go off galavanting about and having adventures and so forth. It's extremely funny, (to a child at least) and set in the victorian sort of era, so naturally the child is often made to sleep in cupboards and so on. I can't remember the title, author, characters or anything and it's driving me mad. I DO recall that the cover of the first in the series was green and displayed the main character, (child) and his insane uncle. Pic related, mfw I can't remember it.
I'm making a jeopardy game, which will be featured in a convention which is hosted by my school. I need some questions about books, mostly fantasy books. Would you please help /lit/? Thank you.
Do you guys have any books to recommend that deal with the more technical aspects of prose and the foundations of English? I haven't studied in a number of years and want to reestablish my basic knowledge, more or less.
Any suggestions would make me a happy manchild and very grateful.
I'm looking for a good read. Thing is I don't like reading novels. I'm looking for books with information that can be applied in real life - I know that's kind of fuzzy but that really is all I'm looking for. The more information and the less blahblah, the happier I am.
Usually I read basic science textbooks - chemistry, economy, electrical engineering; stuff like that, but I'm kind of in a hole.
Any good reads that match my descriptions? Any excellent/unconventional textbooks, or books about topics that I wouldn't come up with myself?
Or just good non-fiction books that REALLY mean something to you?
