I think Neo vs Shin is really underrated. It has it's problems, most of all that the new Getter pilots have no fucking personality and who cares about them, but the fight choreography was really good as opposed to the "Big weapon overtakes other big weapon" and "giant beam melts everyone at the end" that the other two OVAs have.

Eh in my eyes TTGL and Mazinger never had all that much of a synergy, unless you mean Lagann on Gurren's head = Pailder on Mazinger's head, then there is that. But outside of that, there is nothing much else.

Its Getter and TTGL that get the most comparisons as can be seen by this thread.

Really? I liked those parts myself because it showed just how special the people the Doctor needed had to be. Almost everyone who fought the Oni were slaughtered with stained pants except them because,well,they were the people to get the job done. So them kicking the shit out of the Oni felt fitting and satisfying.

I do admit though that it got a bit old for me too around the Samurai Age Arc or whatever it was called. But that part was just a bit of a curveball overall anyways. They take the time to kick the pilots out of the Getter machine then don't really do anything interesting with it.

So SRW F final was my first SRW game ever (never owned part1)... and as we all know this shit is pretty goddam hard, and fucking impossible to beat (when I was 7) and eventually gave up. I had not touched the game since...

I randomly had the urge to take this game up again recently, but had decided not to due to not having part 1 (somehow I care about plot sequence now that im older and am familiar with all the featured titles instead of just gundam W) However, I come across SRW F part 1 in the used game section at the local gamestore for $8...

any general thoughts on the game?

SRW F is made up of:

SRW F - which is the first part
and SRW F Final - which is part 2

Supposedly there is a save game carry over feature which allows you to import a save from the first game over to the second.

As long as it's not as badly translated as the last segment of MLA was I doubt most people will notice, or care to bring it up.
Though if I remember right, the guy who did a decent portion of it is currently probably the first/second most accurate fan translator for VNs.

Going by the images on the main site, at least the text font, neatness, and grammar/spelling looks alright. The writing looks a little stiff, but that's to be expected with most translations.

Interesting that she was discouraged from leaving because of the war with humans. A pity I know she wouldn't leave because this is a prequel, and I know she never left the tower.

Interesting that Gedächtnis appear to be prepared to lie to her to stop her from leaving. We know there is a teleportation device on the roof, so it is strange to hear him say there is no way to leave the place.
