I assumed the huge burnout meant Gut The Whole Engine Bay.
Too bad a nice GT4 was used for this, those don't suck. The Lexus 4.0/4.3 V8 is also iron-block, and therefore heavier than the aluminum-block GM LS.

Yes a 2JZ in a tercel would eat up the space in the car, making it into basically a drag only car, but seeing how a Celica is bigger... I don't know one could assume a 2JZ in a celica would take up less space then in a tercel seeing the celica is a bigger car and could be possible.

Now look in an old pos tercel. Notice the difference?

You can fit a 1mz in a celica. You can prolly fit a uz in a celica. You will NEVER fit a 2jz. Speaking of which, why the fuck would you want to? 1uz is superior. Lighter, smaller, torquier, and way less ricefag.

A Celica bigger than a Tercel? I've had two ST162s, an ST and a GTS, and I don't think you'd have much more space to cram a V8 in one. You'd have to cut into the firewall and replace the whole transmission tunnel, interior space would be at a premium. Plus you would have to start with a ST165; you'd have to do a shitload of work to the rear floor pan of a FWD Celica to accept the IRS.

All in all, it's not worth it. Get a ST165 or stick a 3SGTE in a FWD car. A whole lot simpler, cheaper and nearly as much fun.
