M9 can't autofocus, because it's a manual rangefinder.

M9 can't autoselect aperture, because it's compatible with every M mount and M39 lens ever.

M9 can't do multiple exposures in camera.

M9 can't do PHOTO EDITING and ART EFFECTS in camera.

M9 doesn't have a bajillion useless menus (who the fuck would use a different type of beep. REALLY).

M9 is 1/4 - 1/3 the size.

M9 has more pixels than the S and not many less than the X, which is pretty remarkable for the body size.

M9 has no AA filter so you can get sharper results, though you do need to PP a bit.

Muy a micro fiber cloth to clean the glass on your lens, don't use chemicals. For the body, start with water and work your way up if the stains are really tough, but only use a moist cloth, you don't want water entering the body.

BTW: The 50mm 1.8 can be tricky if you are not used to it's shallow depth of field when wide open (f1.8). In closeups you'll only get a few cm in focus, so you have to carefully choose your focal point, and shoot just after you locked focus if the subjects isn't stationary.

The 1.8 side opens up magic. 2.8 is pretty good too.
You can get a relatively inexpensive 17-50 that does 2.8 all the way from Tamron.

The kit lens is a waste of time because it only opens up to 4.5 when zoomed out, and 6.3 when zoomed in.

But you will want that zoom range. The 50, on a crop body like the XS is about 85mm instead. Youre a long way from a normal field of view. You want a 20-40mm to get that 35mm feel. Thus, the wide end on a kit lens is comfortable.

You're probably just used to /p/ and similar sites when people can hide behind a veil of anonymity and slag people off without repercussions. Most people (myself included) would not feel comfortable giving C&C to a random person on the "most recent" page unless specifically asked to in the description, as some people can get over-offended with it, or get quite down. Their flikr may be purely a site to upload their photos/holiday snaps to share with family/friends easier, rather than it being for artistic merit.

the past Zack Arias Creativelive is great as well. I did find it in the interwebs pirate places and got it there. Basically it was someone screencapping it. Quality is poor and you se a few times when his Chrome crashes. Now that I downloaded the HD version, man, this is great.
