I just watched this movie for the first time and I must admit: it's better than most every modern sci-fi movie I've ever seen.
Most modern movies today are just high-budget eye candy, with no real focus on dialogue and plot. They lack the emotion and richness of classic old movies. Wouldn't you Gorts agree?

I think the one group I hate more than furries and their ilk are the trolls and other underage b&s who must use some 4chan meme or trend in their abuse of the former. I don't care if you say "epic fail" now and again, but when every post on some fat chick's YouTube is "MAN THE HARPOONS" or "an hero nao" it just pisses me off.
Why don't people try to find their own funny? It's so easy to just read Encyclopedia Dramatica and make a check list of tired jokes to format your internet posts around. If you want to kid around or troll someone, at least try to be creative sometimes.
So how does /r9k/ feel about greenfags. I mean sure its a noble idea to care about the environment but these people are worse than religiouspatrobertsonfags. They try to give you lectures on how you should walk more and gives you tips on how to lower your carbon footprint. Who cares about your carbon footprint. Yes its ridiculous to be driving a hummer if you live in the city and by yourself but this is america you're allowed to do what you want. Also buying green products is 10x more expensive than buying normal products, I mean why would I spend 5 bucks to buy deodorant that smells like green woodchips when I could buy something for 2 dollars that smells like baby powder much better. So what do you think.
Hello r9k, I just came back from seeing a movie with a girl I like, the conversation was actually the high point. It was my first date ever, I think I did well.
Now here is where im stuck: What the hell do I do next? Should I just call her and tell her I like her? I didn't hug her or anything, im way too shy, but I feel like I should have. She's a junior and im a senior (in high school, yes im 18.) and we both have the same class first period if that helps at all.
