What a coincidence. I am on page 240 of Stranger right now. It has had some interesting points of view, most from Jubal and a few from Mike and his Martian brethren.
I had heard this was a book that any Heinlein fan should skip, although I can't figure out why.

H. is a great author. I just finished reading one of his novels the other day, about aliens that try to take over the U.S. Anything by Issac Azimov is a good move, since he is a superb writer and very smart. I am also a fan of Rober Sheckley (sp.) INB4 Ender's Game is a horrible book.

Coincidence indeed! I'm on page 153 now (in b4 everyone spoils it for me).

I think it's a pretty valuable book because it takes a popular genre and outwardly spells out important philosophical questions that the general public should (in my opinion) be thinking about more.

I'm in the four-hundreds. The 300s are pretty terrible, because Mike just has a lot of sex and his character changes drastically and unrealistically. It's starting to get interesting again, though, but I think that's just because I'm a pantheist and I love it when things are about pantheism.
