Clearly I'm making a mess of /toy/ with my nonsense, and all of this would be better suited to an email or two to moot directly.

I apologize to anyone offended by my inhospitable comments about this board, I took the wrong tact in explaining the merit of adding a /ct/ board.

Also, thanks to anyone that ignored my garbage and continued to post about light sabers, the actual /toy/ topic.

On topic, I bought this recently for around £30, which I guess is, what, $40? I've had no complaints so far, the thing is solidly built, the only pain being that it's a single-shot deal, so I have to manually load it for every shot.

I'm a britfag, so these are actually surprisingly difficult to get hold of. Also, actually going out and playing with them is a bitch to do, unless you fancy a run-in with the police. What experiences have you guys had with airsoft weaponry?

Wow man, I feel for you.

The way me and my friends play, where its also similarly disproved of, is to sneak into a decently sized public park at night and airsoft to our hearts content.

I thought Airsofting was kinda big out in the UK region, but I clearly must have been mistaken.

Careful with that. If your local cops are bored and feel like being dicks, they can fully arrest you simply for trespassing after hours (technically a misdemeanor). It's happened to me and my friends just for hanging out barbecuing at a park after hours, and we got a weekend in jail, hours of waiting for our court appearances to come up, a big-ass fine, probation, and community service. Shit ain't no joke.

It was until a couple of years ago when the VCRA was passed. Now you can only buy guns in non-realistic colours unless you're registered with a skirmish site. Registering means you need to play at the site at least... three times in three months, I think. This is obviously a pain if there's no site nearby.

On a side note, you also can't buy non-firing replica guns unless you're part of an insured re-enactors group, a film or theatre company or a museum. For some fucking inexplicable reason, you can still buy deactivated real guns with no licensing whatsoever. I do not understand how that made any fucking sense.
