Hey guys. I normally don't come to this board but I'm going to Osaka, Japan for the first time this summer (for 3 weeks) and was wondering what are the "top priority" type places to go visit?
Anyone experienced with Ryanair? There seems to be an offer for 8 pound tickets (taxes included) from London Stansted to Zadar (Croatia) from May to June but I can't find any cheaper than 15 pounds (without taxes)... Is there a chance they might get cheaper tomorrow or something?
While traveling through the US has anyone ever stopped at one of those Asian "Spa's" that line the highways? Or has anyone ever gotten one of those services that provide ":massages" to your hotel room near the airport?
Hey, I'm a 17-year-old from California and I'm half-Chinese. It's my first visit to China in my life and I'm going on May 29, right after my HS graduation.
I'm visiting Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong. I'm also visiting a few other places. I have the tour books and read about the places and they seem awesome, but if you were to compare a Chinese city to American/Canadian/European city, which one would it be?
I've heard Beijing is a spread out city with a lot of smog, sort of like LA, and Hong Kong being somewhat like a Chinese NYC.
Thinking of doing an International Business degree in the future, which has the opportunity to do a foreign work experience exchange program as part of the course. Lifestyle too etc. Anyone had experience working in these countries?
South Korea and Japan are the two countries I'm interested in most. Which would be the better choice career wise for business and management work? I'm from Australia btw.
dear /trv/ I've spent the last few months trying to set up plans for travelling in the fall with friends, or alone, or to any place. in short, the friends I wanted to travel beside backed out due to monetary issues or uneasiness in travelling, and now i'm stuck with simply no idea where to go. It sounds a little silly, but basically - i've got money, i've got time come september to travel, but I just have not a single clue where to go. I'll be 19 years old in the fall. I am a large Canadian male. Travelling alone does not intimidate me, but I know that expenses can go up if you're paying for everything by yourself. Do you have any suggestions, /trv/? Where I can travel, alone or with a friend? (I can still find people to get on board with me.)
I've decided that Australia isn't really the place for me. I want to immerse myself into a culture where the language is different, the ways of life are different, etc. Other southeast places near Oceania are appealing to me, though. Egypt and Europe (vague, yes) are other high points for me. Help?
