Sup /trv/lers,

going to Malaysia for 9 days, nothing planned so far, I just have the tickets.

I checked out wikitravel and some couchsurfing notes lately, but I'd like to know my fellows boarders' advices. Found some interesting stuff.

What to do in grorious Malaysia ? I'd stay in KL for 2-3 days, but then, I'd like to get around. I travel on the cheap, not really afraid to get it rough.

I'm mostly looking for some time chilling in the hot weather, and visiting some remote towns and interesting nature. I like to take pictures actually, and it seems Malaysia is a pretty good country for that.

From what I've heard, they're pretty cool with foreigners (white, blond, blue-eyed guy, I stand out a bit), and the only thing I may care about is the price of alcohol which is insane.

TLDR : Malaysie for 9 days, what do ?

Hi /trv/

I'm thinking about going to work to the USA or AUS this summer in to improve my english level, I have experience working as a waiter and I'm finishing my physics degree I would take any avaliable job.

Do you know any place where an Spanish (EUROPEAN NOT MEXICAN) guy could do a good and funny summer learning english?

I have the first certificate in English with a 79 punctuation so i could confirm some level.

I am not exactly sure what board would suit my question best but I guess this follows the guidelines of what I plan to ask.

I am planning on moving to New Zealand from Canada this upcoming July. I have my sights set on moving to the north side, Auckland. Currently I am looking for a few questions to be answered.

What is the cost of food in NZ? Generally, I am not looking for specifics.

What are some good websites I can check for places to live in? (Renting an apartment preferably)

This is a question to anyone who lives in NZ or has been. I plan on being there for July, August, September, October, November, December. What should I do/go see while I am there?

So I've been planning a Working Holiday to Canada for a few months. A few things puzzle me.

I am from Australia and my girlfriend came from Canada to Australia just recently with only $2,000. The thing that puzzles me is that one of the requirements is that you have sufficient amount of money to come to Canada and have evidence of additional funds to leave Canada.

Do they check this on arrival or is this protocol? For those who have done working holidays to Canada, what have they checked at the Port of Entry?

Hey, /trv/, not sure if this is the best place to ask, but I want to learn some foreign languages so I can travel or do whatever. I'd like to get a job doing that, interpreting or whatever. Especially after hearing how my friend's cousin does basically that for the government, seems like a great job to me.

I wanted to start with Chinese, as either that or the Middle Eastern languages seem the most profitable now, but China is more appealing. So what exactly are my options as far as that goes? I've only really come up with majoring in Chinese at a college good for it (Of which I don't know any), or, as I don't have very much money, my parents have poor credit and debt and all that bad stuff, which might make getting loans and such hard, although my credit is good, joining a branch of the Military and try to aim to do that. Is that even feasible? Can anyone speak from experience on any of this? I'd much appreciate any advice given.

Thanks much.
