I would like to take my girlfriend somewhere semi-romantic with some attractions and outdoor activities. Does not need to be alot of nightlife. Also I am in the USA and not looking to spend a fortune on traveling as my budget is very limited. So if anyone has been and could tell me how expensive it was that would be good. Or other suggestions for places that are as far from real life as possible

So I have decided to go to Summer Breeze this year. I had been planning a trip for Denmark in November, but I figured Germany in August could be just as good. Plus I get 3 days full of metal. So I am wondering if anyone knows about flying with camping equipment. I would really prefer to camp at the site and not have to get another hotel and rely on taxis to get me back into town. I figure I can probably get by with a tent and sleeping bag, then possibly try to get a cooler of some sort once I make it into town. If anyone can help, I would be greatly appreciative.

Any friendless losers on /trv/ who actually travel, and don't just fap to the idea of traveling? If so, how do you cope with being a friendless loser while you travel? Don't you feel bad that you'll never share your experiences with anyone when you come back home?

Not trolling, it's just that I'm a friendless loser too, and I would really like to travel and it's practically my last chance to do so (almost 30), and I think it'll only make me even more depressed when I come back and I don't even have anyone to show the photos to :(

Hitchhiking

No.462484 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
So I have become extremely bored with life at the moment and also going stir crazy from living in the suburbs. Iv'e recently been thinking about Hitchhiking across America, starting in central Florida and making my way to the west coast. I was just wondering if hitchhiking is even still a plausible activity in 2011. Also if it still indeed is possible to do, what are some books or information guides that I can read to educate and prepare my self for the experience.

Hey guys, wondering if any of you had been to Vietnam. Specifically the Hanoi area. My friend and I are going to stay with a mate from University who teaches English there. Just wondered if you guys had any particular tips or attractions that you'd put forward. There's so much to see its difficult to know where to start to be honest.

Thanks
