http://wikitravel.org/en/Singapore#Stay_safecheck this list again and again. go to the government websites and customs website to see what can and cannot be brought in and brought out.make sure your bags are tamper proof. if they are tampered with, don't touch it. inform the customs immediately and ask them to check security cameras. there are cameras everywhere to protect you. if it's in your bag, you're responsible.

the law enforcement is friendly and polite. approach them and ask if something can and cannot be done while you're here.

make sure you have ID, papers on you - to avoid trouble.

nature wise: the botanical gardens is touristy. go to labrador park - ask for the history tour - you can still see british forts and cannons - beware of caterpillars , bukit timah reservoir or the sungai buloh nature reserve for nature.
