In terms of culture, politics & economics we all hate one another. And as far as sports are concerned we're all hyper-nationalists.
But Eurovision is different. It's expensive, poorly planned and most importantly - invariably shit. But the thing is we all know it's shit. We send terrible acts because we know everyone else will too because no one takes it seriously except Sweden.
It's basically the one thing Europe can relax and enjoy together. You get drunk and laugh at the retardation, then argue about the bloc voting. And it's always great fun, no one's feelings are ever hurt because nobody really cares.
