>>94078142Want to be defensive but don't want to use a single bladed saber? Dual wield, use one for offense and the other held back for defense. Double bladed saber, twirl it around to make an impenetrable wall of defence to wear down your enemies(like Darth Zannah).
Want to be offensive but not dual wield? Powerful and coordinated(or reckless) two handed swings with a single bladed lightsaber(Darth Bane, Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Mace Windu). Or an unstoppable and incredibly fast paced assault with a double bladed lightsaber (Darth Maul).
See where I'm going with this? It's this kind of restriction that completelty takes me out of the immersion of the universe. In KOTOR I could use whatever damn weapons and items I please. But instead they're pulling the same MMO bullshit where your character is going to get cookie cutter builds, armour, and weapons.
I'm still wary, and I'm sure it will be fun. There is still a lot of time left to make this a great game. As for me I still plan on rolling a Republic Trooper... and yea watch how I won't be able to use Smuggler pistols or Imperial Agent sniper rifles or anything else that doesn't have the "Trooper" tag underneath it because that's not what my class or path dictates that I use.
