You just saved the jpeg as png.

The problem is not with the file format but the quality. The image has lots of jpeg artifacts so removing all those would be a bitch, might as well vector the whole image and I don't have the time or the will to do that now.

So I would need better jpeg compression with the least possible artifacting or the original image (not the same jpeg with artifacts) saved as .png which is the best possible quality.

I see, well I just took the original jpg image and added background to make it reach wallpaper size, I guess it was that way from the start. A pity, I really dig Miwa's art. Thanks for trying anyways and for having the patience of explaining..

Getting this was pretty bitchy already... now its all about suppressing white pixels (i left the trace brushed white 1pt to make sure no detail is destroyed)
