I saw an archived thread with this idea.
I thought you guys could add some new ideas. These are best scratched out in all caps.

Here's some things I've actually written in some random places.

Paper posted on a pole in front of a ruined-looking building on the edge of a city (pic related):

Alternativly this is a really fun prank to play on a friend to whose house you have access to. While they are asleep or out at work, paste WAKE UP in places yo know he'll look i.e. the fridge, on his box of leftovers, on all the doors in the house, on the bathroom mirror, on his bed, inside each of his shoes, in the pockets of all his coats, taped to his remote, on his tv screen, reset his screensaver to have those words scrolling across his screen, underneath the cushions of his sofa (to fuck with him years later), in picture frames etc.
