...that's pretty much all I came here to say. I've been avoiding Deadman threads because i moderately enjoyed the manga, and the adaptation is doing pretty well, and I've seen /a/ troll the fuck out of decent shows before. Don't care to see it again.

You know, this manga would have been a lot better if they hadn't used the retarded premise of it being an actual prison in a world similar to our own, and just made it something else. Even if it was a generic as fuck setting at least it would be able to have its own internal logic instead of relying on full retard shit like "hurr his defense attorney is the goddamn prison warden but either nobody notices the obvious or nobody cares about conflict of interest"

The worst adaption I've seen is probably the Blade of the Immortal.

The manga was good until it became increasingly shonen battle manga and was only using gore for shock value.
