With books or Comics, the person in question has must be able to pay attention and concentrate, in stead of having everything spoon-feed to them.
Somebody even said that while Manga is a national hobby in Japan, Animé is still not fully respected by the general public, but that's just what I heard; all my Azn friends are Philipinos, Indians or Chinese, therefore I have no way to actually verify that claim.

It is only understandable. An airing anime series always has MUCH more exposure than some manga series lying around on mangaupdates that you'll have to dig up. And as such, people who choose to read a manga already know about the genre and embrace it, while there are many people who just decide to torrent whatever anime that's airing and don't even care that the show might not even be for them.
That's right, faggots watch things that are not supposed to be for them and then, like every anon who thinks he's the center of the world, start making threads and talking shit on everything. Like a fan of action movies complaining about nothing happening in a slice-of-life series. It can't be helped, manga readers are bigger bros who actively choose what they read.

I don't know man. I stopped watching anime completely since I found it too hard to concentrate and ended up skipping through the episodes in 5-10 minutes.
I find it much easier to concentrate with manga, probably because the reader is in control of the speed.

This is one of the problems I have with the anime industry. Just about everything is a poor adaptation of often decent manga. You get very few shows that live up to their source material, and very very few originals.

Naruto and Bleach actually have anime adaptations which are pretty good representations of the manga, when they're not doing filler arcs. It's just that the source material itself is shitty, so the anime follows suit.

Anime made from scratch tends to outperform anime based off a manga. My personal theory is that the later is typically a play by the production studio to feed off an existing fan-base, and as such suffers from the "critical character development and plot elements detract from our fan-service per. airtime ratios" phenomenon. You also get producers who have clearly never even read the source materials. Eg Shyamalan.
