They should have a 10 gallon tank minimum. Basking spot around 85 degrees, from under tank heater or heat lamp. As long as temps don't drop below 65-70 at night, it should be fine. Paper towels would be the best substrate as most others can be ingested accidentally and cause impaction. Even the calci-sand stuff can cause impaction. You should dust the bugs you feed the leopard gecko once a week with calcium. The food you feed depends on the size of your gecko. I feed mine mostly super worms. Other foods can include crickets, mealworms, pinky mice (don't feed more than once a month), wax worms(feed now and then, very fattening).
They should have a dry hide and a moist hide, spray under one daily. Replace water dish daily, it should be shallow so they can't drown in it or get stuck.
