I have a question for you /an/ not trolling btw.

I have a pet rat, I like bones. When my rat dies, I plan on removing his head and taking his skull. I plan on filming it. My question is, Is this legal? I am concerned about the animal cruelty people getting pissed even though its a dead animal. It would be more like an autopsy eh?
