i have a male parakeet in a 3x2x4 cage and my mom is bringing over a small parrot pretty soon.

can a parakeet and a parrot share a cage, if at least temporarily till i can find a permanent home for the parrot?

nm, put them both in. both started pecking at each other. the new parrot was like 3x the size of mine, so i didnt wanna risk waking up in the morning with a dead parakeet. i let him out and he flew out

This is true.

But.

This question was pretty clearly one of scale, so I didn't bother arguing the point. I'm guessing the small parrot in question was a senegal or maybe a conure of some sort.
