Alright /an/ I need some help. You see, my family will be acquiring a 70 pound, 2 1/2 year old, female, African desert tortoise(we think she's a sulcata) from my aunt who's moving to Oregon.

As awesome as it would be to keep her, it's not really in her best interest for her to stay with us.

Unfortunately, it was either we take the tortoise, or my uncle was going to shoot it and bury it somewhere.

So, does anybody know any reptile rescue groups or animal sanctuaries we can contact in the southern California area that can take her?
