so i'm thinking of getting a green cheek conure. i've wanted one for years. i've done my research and it looks like the right bird for me. they're quieter than other conures, and according to some of the breeders i've talked to they don't tend to have the attachment problems of other parrots. they can go for a few days without their regular human around without going nuts and plucking out all their feathers. i've already got the right sized cage for a conure, i just need some new perches and toys. my only concern is my beast of a cat, though he never seemed to bother my parakeets much when he was younger.
