I am working on cleaning and spraying but there's just so much stuff, and it occured to me, what if I just let them come to their death? Also, I'd at least like to keep them from feeding on me and laying more eggs spawned from my precious bodily fluids in the meantime.
Can it be done?

But no. A chameleon would not do that.
1.) Most chameleons are diurnal. It would be asleep too.
2.) You'd probably roll over on it
3.) They are insanely delicate, and couldn't just live on a bed like that
4.) Bedbugs don't really run around on top of the sheets anyway
5.) I can't think of a single animal that would do anything like that.

the ones that I have do, I use my computer on my bed and have killed quite a by spotting that little flicker of movement. And they usually come when I am still awake, thus I would not roll over onto anything that would prey on them.

I do not care if they bite me in my sleep, as much. I can't feel the itch of that, any bites disappear by morning, or the feeling does. It pisses me off that I'm feeding them and helping their numbers grow if they do, but I can live with it until I can spray this place down properly.

Dude, if you have bedbugs you don't need an animal to eat them. You need to call the exterminator, get rid of your sheets and maybe your mattress too, and vacuum RELIGIOUSLY. They are vile creatures.

sorry but i would be sleeping on the floor surrounded by a circle i sprayed of insecticide before i would willingly sleep on a infected mattress of bed bugs . just wash your comforter a few times then make a bed in the floor and spay around it with strong stuff

I remember a man who used a system of various reptiles around the perimeters and inside his house that kept his house efficiently clean of insects. It was on Ripley's Believe it or Not (I think)

There is nothing in my room to vacuum. Just lots of papers and books and valuable electronics, all of it important. The rest of the house is cluttered beyond all belief. An exterminator will tell us he can't work until we clean the damn place up. Which we are working on.
Or will he? If he will shuffle through all my stuff to get at the things and check every paper and shirt then fuck, I'll call one tomorrow.

Even with the mattress gone there is not room on my floor to make a bed on, and what am I going to use, a camping mattress? I have enough insomnia problems.
I put the sheets through the drier on high heat regularly, and switch them every day. I might get rid of this mattress, though. Never liked it. I put an allergic mattress cover around it, but I think they can stick their mouth parts through and bite me through it. either that or they're just hiding in other places.
