And we did not 'create' them anyhow. Systematically taking wild animals and domesticating them for desirable characteristics is hardly 'creating' but rather exploiting them.
Any diet, vegan or otherwise, can be unhealthy if unmonitored. Veganism isn't necessarily difficult and you'll find it will open you up to a whole range of foods you might not have tried, so you don't have to deprive yourself. Nor is veganism or vegetarianism new by any means (many of the most important Ancient Greek and Indian Philosophers were adherents).
Aside from the point of eating meat, people should be aware of where whatever they put their mouths comes from, including veggies, fruit, etc. As applied to meat however, these practices exist because they are the most cost effective. If you think this is wrong and wouldn't mind paying a little extra to avoid this, it is your duty as a consumer to seek out and push for more ethical practices. Not only would you morally be doing the right thing, but you'll be supporting smaller and more often local farmers and industry, as well as probably eating healthier food.
