Ever think of what its like for the person in the mirror? Because it IS a person, not "reflected light" but a person identical to you, in a word that is and exact copy of the one you know. Except, their whole world is what you see there, if it can't be seen in the mirror, it doesn't exist for the other you.
Can you imagine a whole life spent in one room? worse still, your movements MUST be the exact same as another you, if you think it is so terrible, there is a way to help the mirror you. You must get them to do something, that is not the same as what you're doing. Even a tiny difference will do even a fraction of an inch is enough to make this work.
The best way, that I have found, requires only a ruler, it also helps if you have long hair. See where this is going? Stand in front of the mirror, and quick as you can, grab a hair, not a stray one that is floating away from the rest, it has to be impossible to tell which on you're grabbing. Now, quickly hold it out straight, and measure it. Look in the mirror, the mirror you will have grabbed a different strand, the length will be different. Maybe only a little, but remember, even a fraction of an inch is plenty. The barrier no longer exists for the you in the mirror, they are free to move where ever they want.
But I warn you: a lifetime in a room can be difficult to deal with, can even send a person crazy. They envy your life. It’s what they want. Never turn your back on that mirror, and every night before you sleep make sure your doppelganger is in the world they belong in.
And cover the mirror. Don't ever forget to cover it.
