>>441088570I actually got into an argument with my girlfriend about the toilet seat thing the other day
>you NEED TO leave the seat down because its polite (she was actively complaining about this, not just mentioning/requesting, but insisting)
well leaving it up is polite to me as well, so that's not valid
>but I dont want to have to touch the seat to put it downI have to touch it when I lift it up too, though. Plus you can just tap it and it will fall, I have to touch the underside of the seat to lift it up
>well that's how I was raised and it's just unsightly and impolite to not leave the toilet seat down because you can see the bowl more and its grosswe shit and piss in the toilet, I don't think it's ever not gross. I don't really think tradition is a very strong argument or reason to actually get mad about this (she was getting more upset as we talked)
I suggested just putting the cover over the toilet as a middle-ground, and she was vehemently opposed to doing it because it still required her touching it and she said it was "stupid" that more than one person should need to put the seat up or down.
why should I have to do it?
>because I'm a girl, I shouldn't have to>BECAUSE IM A GIRLI loudly said "WOMAN LOGIC" and dropped the conversation. She apologized to me shortly after. I love my girlfriend.
