>>448998407I bought an ES-335 a while back, and use that guitar for a lot of the stray cats stuff that I play. Zeppelin however, is my number 1 favorite band ever, so cheers to you man. I was planning on getting a gibson les paul for a long time now, and had my mind set on the Traditional Ice Tea finish... then I fucking found out that Gibson started weight relieving all their guitars (except certain custom ones) after 1983. that fucking means I'd need to buy a vintage les paul. The reason I don't want the weight relieved one is because of the weight difference, which I feel effects sustain and tone quality, ESPECIALLY when trying to get that classic les paul sound. I currently have an epiphone les paul Ice Tea (A lot like Pages, just epiphone) and put in seymour duncan antiquity pickups. I've played a handful of gibsons, but none have compared to my epiphone in terms of comfort and playability. If i can find a fully weighted one though, I'd buy that in a heartbeat, if they weren't so damn expensive. By the way, I also find myself sanding down the necks of all my guitars. I HATE gloss. do you mind the gloss, or are you cool with it? I only sand the back of the neck and stop right at the headstock.
I'd totally jam with you if I could man. You seem like a cool bro.
