We've had this discussion before, but this is for the newer /c/itizens, and myself, considering I have been away for the Air Force for a while.

When you sort out your /c/ollection, how do you do it? And how big is it currently?

For me, I go by Thread Names. Makes it easier to locate. Mine has now surpassed 30GB.

I mostly find images by the tags I've put in their names. I do have separate folders for each anime, though, as well as some others ("general couple", "wedding", "animal girls", etc.)

/c/ollection is at 818MB (2,453 images).

I name my folders according to topics, such as Catgirls, Generic Cuteness, Black Rock Shooter, Strike Witches, etc. What I've been planning to do for some time now is to add tags to every image in Picasa to facilitate searching, but I always get bored with it, so it's progressing in rather small steps...

What I've lurked this board, it seems that most people save very shitty quality. Shame on them.

I think thats pretty good considering i have only been here like 6 months and i am very picky with what i save (Good quality,large resolution, etc)
But i just organize my pictures by putting then in folders according to their anime/game which makes life very difficult when it comes to finding the pictures i want.

I met someone in my Flight (Or company, for the non military here) who has nearly 100GB worth of pics. It's interesting that he doesn't have anything do do with /c/ (Or so he tells me).

Now it's become something of a competition for me to get his external hard drive.

As of now, 14 073 files in 5,39 GB, all in one big folder. I've been on /c/ for several years, and I only save the pictures that really gets to me. I'm happy to find out that there is that much.
I do not sort anything in any way, because I prefer to explore my folder from time to time and just get random /c/ute pictures. More soothing to me than actively searching something.

For me, it's the date OP's thread started on, followed by the thread name. If the thread doesn't have a name, a few words from the description about the thread. If none, than it's the date and 'Untitled'.

I also save the thread as well as any links from within the thread. Because of this, my 4chan folder is now at 192 GB (mainly because of this thread here>>>/w/1212803that my collection for this year has grown) and I only started collecting early last year.

Pretty new to /c/ and to 4chan in general, only been here for a few months.
Thinking I wouldn't become a regular visitor at first, I didn't even attempt to start organizing stuff, which is why I still have one big folder for everything I save. It might be a good idea to start sorting the new ones I save, probably by the thread title or something then.

Currently 640MB (~1600 files).

Picture related in that it's the first one in that folder.

Usually by the title of the anime. With OC I just sort them into folders such as 'Glasses' or 'Instruments'.

So far, it's excellent. A little laid back compared to the Army and Navy, but still strict. Met some great blokes and yeah, would definitely do 1RTU (Recruit Training) again.

I sort by show title then character name. For several particular artists I sort by artist then by artbook. Anything that doesn't come specifically from a show, but fits into some other category goes into a miscellaneous folder and is then sorted by its subject (e.g. a picture with cake in it may go into the 'cake' folder). I hand sort everything I download and only keep images that I've looked at and decided that I like. Currently I've got 94719 images or about 40GB.

I used to have just one giant folder, but i recently started organizing. I typically do it by series, some folders (like my Vocaloid and Touhou) have some folders for a specific character, and multiple characters are thrown into the main folder. I also have a crossover folder. My Photobucket is organized in a similar manner. I rarely use my Imageshack (despite it being a superior site), so its still unorganized.

I dont distinguish between boards, so all my stuff that would fit in /c/ is lumped together with more /h/ or /e/ material. That being said, I have about more than 8 GB and over 8000 pictures, not including any artbooks or manga I download.
