I've went to Fanime this year, and it was nice. Potential to be boring if you don't bring friends, but good overall, especially the gatherings.
In '09 I will be going to my first Anime Expo (+Fanime, woot), however I have friends that tell me not to go. They say it sold out, and doesn't give a damn about attendees. They say the people are rude the place is crowded, and overall is not worth going for a norcal fag such as myself. I even have friends that will skip out AX and save up for Otakon instead. Which scares the heck out of me.
So should I go? Also, tell me Expo stories good and bad, and fellow AX '09 virgins post, so we can support one another. Lol.
