>>3182739I also have a bbw friend in semi-denial
Doctors have even told her she needs to loose weight or else she will need surgery when she's older
Tell her cutting out soda is a good way to loose 15 pounds
"but I like soda"
Tell her to ration and portion it out
"I don't want to deny myself"
Tell her to work out
"I will this summer" (hasn't lifted a finger)
Tell her eating lots of raw veggies is good for vitimins and fiber
"I don't like veggies"
and the list goes on and on and on
Constantly talks about loosing weight, and even told me once that eating burgers was unhealthy...I work out at least 3x a week and walk for at least a half hour a day to maintain my weight so I can eat what I want (not too interested in loosing a lot of weight atm)
soooooo
yah
I know how it is to have that large friend you love....
and you want to be nice and you want to help them. But sadly, today, telling someone they need to loose weight is considered "mean"...even though you can die super early and get cancer from being overweight, I mean, you can yell at smokers...but you can't tell your fat friend to get on the treadmill and to diet because that's just "mean" even if you're doing it to help them!
