Homestuck cosplay keeps pissing me off.
I see these people everywhere, what the hell? Is this comic really that popular that it has THAT many cosplayers? What gives? I didn't find it enjoyable in the least, and these fans are like a cult, they're all socially awkward and loud as fuck and annoying.
Worst of all is, my god, those gaudy ass outfits. Black, black everywhere.

also in defense of homestuck hetalia's source material is about a thousand times more terrible. i think touhou is a more accurate comparison.

South Park is satire. Sadly, it attracts a lot of the same sort of unaware yaoi-loving dipshits Hetalia does, but at least it doesn't do so intentionally.

I was afraid to cosplay homestuck at first because of the rabid fan stories, but I did it anyway, because I wanted to and I had fun doing it. I met a few other homestuck cosplayers at a local con and I wound up having shittons of fun and joking around with new friends.

It's fun to get together with other people and geek the hell out every once in a while. I had so much fun that I'm considering not cosplaying any other fandom for a while simply because of how awesome the community is.

Folks on DA have come up with some good ideas, though. I'd love to see someone cosplay the Dead Shuffle Dress.

I read it too, but I take it for what it is. I often felt like the only person who ever watched Lost without getting into the omgzconspiracytheoryshit my friends did. Which is probably why I stopped watching, because it didn't make sense.

It's not some interwoven masterpiece guys, can't you be entertained by the solid music, funny animation and be satisfied? At least satisfied enough not to turn it into some circlejerk monstrosity?
